Project Description

This project supports cattle ranchers across the Intermountain West region in reducing enteric methane emissions through the systematic adoption of the Bovaer (3-NOP) feed additive. Participating producers integrate Bovaer into total mixed rations (TMR) for beef cattle over defined monitoring periods, with emissions reductions independently measured and verified against baseline herd profiles. The project targets a 20–25% reduction in enteric methane per head of cattle, contributing directly to Scope 3 emissions reduction commitments by participating CPG buyers.
